review sharing Micro-Nutrition Level I Certification From my experience so far, how do I plan to use it.
Hi friends! Hope you had a great week so far! I see in the heights Today with Nana and Madhuri (I can’t wait!) and they were studying my face. I’m in the middle of my Level 1 certification from Precision Nutrition, so I thought I’d post an update on my experience so far and how I plan to use this certification in my work.
Micro Nutrition I graciously waived the cost of my degree, and I was so grateful and excited that I had been looking forward to getting the degree for a few years. Focusing on one of the things that has always stood out for me Mentality And the How to train effectively and make sustainable and realistic dietary changes for unique conditions and preferences. Creating a great meal plan is one thing, but it’s quite another to help others make lasting changes that work for their lives and schedule while moving them toward their goals.
Here’s how to set up the syllabus:
There are three different units: The Micro Nutrition Approach (what makes a coach great, how to make lasting changes, and what does powerful nutrition actually mean?), nutrition science (why things happen and work the way they do), working through the PN training process (how to use all this information, training levels different from clients, special scenarios).
You read the class in the text book, and you have the option to watch a video on their platform (or listen to the audio), view any relevant case studies, and take a class quiz. Take your exam before moving on to the next semester.
Coursework also includes a study guide to answer practice questions and take notes. The study guide has been very useful and I will often use it to make small drawings or jot down concepts that I want to remember. Everything is beautifully packaged, easy to carry with you (I’ve been studying in the gymnastics lot, at dance competitions, and in the parking lots waiting to pick up girls from different places), and based on the latest science and information.
They give you the tools to build a company, including online reviews and surveys for clients. I love that they set you up for success. Many of the testimonials I got were like, “Congratulations! Good luck out there!” and it was like, “Here are all the steps to apply your degree right away.”
For any of my fitness professional friends who are considering getting certified, registration is now open. They only offer it twice a year, and if you sign up before Friday, you’ll receive a Coaching Business Kickstarter course ($349) for free. All the details are on their page here!
How do I plan to use my Precision Nutrition certification:
I think it’s worth noting here that I will not be a registered dietitian after completing this course, and if you have very specific dietary needs or conditions, you should seek out an RD in your area! However, if you are looking for ideas on how to create sustainable changes and would like custom macro directives, then I can be you. 😉
To start, I’m training myself! I create custom macro instructions using their online toolkit and based on my personal stats, goals (add lean muscle, reduce body fat, which has gone up in the last year), and preferred eating pattern (Mediterranean) They have two options for tracking macros: you can use Specific amounts of grams and weight/measure everything, or you can “measure” it based on visual measurements. For example, palm is a protein meal, carbohydrate meal is your cupped hand, vegetables are one fist, and fat is one thumb. This is a great way to measure because It’s consistent (the size of your hands does not change significantly), It’s relative (A smaller person with small hands needs less food than a person with large hands and a larger body structure), and That’s logical (They are always with you). When I calculate macros for my clients, you will receive gram and visual recommendations (eg 4 hands of protein each day, 5 hands of carbs, 6 thumbs of fat, etc.).
I will post my final results and thoughts when I finish my degree, which I expect to be the end of July. Fit . team members I will have my first dibs in nutrition training and I will open my presence from there. 🙂 I am so excited to get to know you more and add this offer to my existing fitness programs and memberships.
